Responsibilities
Own and evolve the Azure-based enterprise data architecture to ensure scalability, performance, and security
Design and develop robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and related services
Define and implement data modeling standards, governance frameworks, and metadata management across the data ecosystem
Collaborate with product, analytics, and infrastructure teams to align data solutions with organizational goals
Lead and mentor data engineers, driving technical excellence and standardization across projects
Evaluate and implement modern Azure tools and services that enhance performance and cost optimization
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with at least 2+ years in a senior or lead capacity
Proven experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, and data pipeline orchestration on Azure
Expertise in data modeling, performance tuning, and data warehousing concepts
Solid understanding of data governance, lineage, and security within enterprise environments
Experience working with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (Terraform or ARM templates)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to bridge business and technical perspectives
