Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and monitor commercial and industrial loan relationships, overseeing all phases of commercial loan and product transactions
Promote and sell commercial banking services to existing and prospective customers through proactive business development efforts
Participate in community, civic, and charitable organizations to support relationship building and new business development
Deliver a high standard of service and responsiveness to both external customers and internal partners
Provide commercial and industrial lending services in accordance with bank policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
Analyze applicants’ credit history and financial information to assess creditworthiness and repayment capacity
Prepare clear, well-documented written credit recommendations for approval
Negotiate credit terms, including pricing, repayment structures, and collateral requirements
Manage and oversee a commercial lending portfolio of $10 million or more
Support ongoing portfolio maintenance, including renewals, reviews, financial statement collection, and documentation exception remediation
Review commercial loan documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Maintain strong knowledge of bank products and services
Actively cross-sell deposit accounts, cash management, IRAs, and additional lending products to meet client needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
Minimum of one year of experience, preferably within a commercial bank or credit analysis environment
Strong proficiency in reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics
Working knowledge of commercial and industrial lending policies, procedures, and regulations
Ability to analyze financial statements and credit data to evaluate credit risk
Understanding of lending regulations and internal loan policies
Strong interpersonal, communication, relationship-management, and sales skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
