Director, Corporate Development

Responsibilities

Support the full lifecycle of M&A transactions, including sourcing, due diligence, valuation, financial modeling, deal structuring and integration planning
Conduct financial analyses to evaluate acquisition targets, investments, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions. Provide insights and recommendations based on valuation, ROI, and other metrics to inform strategic decisions
Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to identify trends, assess potential opportunities, and evaluate risks. Deliver insights that support Equifax’s strategic planning and decision making
Work closely with finance, technology, operations, legal, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of deals and integration processes. Facilitate collaboration with internal teams to align on deal objectives, understand potential risks, and achieve desired outcomes
Develop presentations and reports for senior leadership and the Board of Directors, summarizing transaction details, financial analyses, and strategic recommendations
Build and maintain relationships with potential acquisition targets, investment banks, legal advisors, and other relevant partners. Represent Equifax professionally and foster positive relationships with external parties
Travel domestically and/or internationally up to 10% of time annually, potentially on short notice for M&A activities

Required

Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in finance, economics, or a related field
3-5 years of relevant M&A experience in areas such as corporate development, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, venture capital, etc. Buy-side exp is highly preferred
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of valuation methodologies and M&A processes
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for senior leadership
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Preferred

Prior experience working in both corporate development and investment banking environments
Experience working in FinTech, Data & Analytics, AI and/or other technology sectors
MBA or other advanced degree
Prior deal experience working on several closed transactions
