Mid, Senior LevelOne Inc. is seeking a Manager, Quality Engineering to lead and scale their Quality Assurance Engineering organization supporting products in SaaS insurance payments solutions. The role focuses on driving quality and excellence across complex web applications and leading a team of QA engineers to optimize processes and ensure high standards in testing and collaboration.

Responsibilities
Manage a QA team of 10 engineers, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and career development; handle offboarding decisions when necessary
Set clear goals using structured frameworks and coach, develop, and mentor team members to achieve them
Define and implement QA strategies aligned with organizational goals and SAFe principles
Establish and track quality KPIs, driving measurable improvements in product quality and delivery timelines
Champion agile methodologies and best practices within the QA function
Ensure robust application of QA theory, including core testing principles, risk-based testing, boundary analysis, exploratory testing, and functional vs. non-functional testing
Oversee conceptual understanding and execution of performance, security, accessibility, and integration testing
Drive automation strategy and ensure seamless integration into CI/CD pipelines
Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Release Train Engineers to align QA efforts with development cycles
Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders on quality metrics, risks, and deliverables
Evaluate and implement emerging tools and technologies, including AI-driven solutions, to enhance QA capabilities
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in a QA/QE Manager or equivalent leadership role, managing teams of 8+ members
Strong foundation in QA theory and test design techniques, with hands-on experience applying them in complex environments
Expertise in agile testing practices, automation frameworks, and test management tools
Knowledge of backend systems and proficiency in SQL/MySQL for database validation and troubleshooting
Demonstrated ability to establish and track quality KPIs, driving measurable improvements
Experience in hiring, onboarding, performance management, and making critical resource decisions
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred
Experience with digital payment solutions and AI-driven QA tools is highly desirable
