Network Specialist - Master
UICGS / Bowhead Family of Companies is seeking a Network Specialist, Master to support the High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) in San Diego, CA. The role involves systems engineering tasks, software development, and integration to enhance operational efficiency and support the overall mission of the HPCMP.

Responsibilities
Performs a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, including personnel, hardware, software, budgetary, and support facilities and/or equipment
Provides quality assurance review and the evaluation of new and existing software products
Provides analysis related to the design, development, and integration of hardware, software, man-machine interfaces and all system level requirements to provide an integrated IT solution
Develops integrated system test requirement, strategies, devices and systems
Directs overall system level testing
Analyze user needs and develop software solutions
Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency
May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team
May supervise computer programmers
Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing applications
Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements
Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis
Qualification
Required
BA/S in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related field is required. A combination of experience and education may be accepted in lieu of degree
Six years (6+) of relevant technical experience is required
Experience with IPv6 and other protocols required
Intermediate-to-advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically
Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret level, may be required to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance upon hire
US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location
