Development Coordinator
Holly Ridge Center is a nonprofit organization offering highly specialized programs and services for children and adults with disabilities. The Development Coordinator will manage the volunteer program and donor database, while also supporting marketing efforts and event coordination.

Responsibilities
Manage the agency's volunteer program, acting as the primary contact for all volunteers, facilitating orientation, and ensuring appropriate documentation is completed
Serve as the subject matter expert on the organization's donor database and ensure its accuracy and integrity
Support the organization's visibility and engagement through the development and production of marketing materials, digital content, and communications
Ensure consistent branding and messaging across print and digital platforms, coordinate marketing projects, and vendor relationships
Assist in special events and the coordination of the Fund Development Committee
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Familiarity with email marketing and online fundraising platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Classy, GiveButter)
Basic knowledge of data analytics and reporting, including generating donor and volunteer reports
Training or coursework in fundraising, nonprofit management, or volunteer engagement (formal or on-the-job)
Understanding of ethical standards and confidentiality in donor relations and data handling - Association of Fundraising Professionals AFP Code of Ethics
Ability to use or learn social media and digital tools for outreach and event promotion (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
Highly detail oriented
Ability to work independently; however also able to work cooperatively with team members to accomplish group objective
Good judgment and willingness to take initiative and apply creativity towards problem-solving as necessary
Strong interpersonal skills
Commitment to the mission and values of the organization and an interest in community impact
Ability to pass a criminal history background check
Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2–3 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or donor relations
Proven experience with donor database management (DonorPerfect, Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, Little Green Light) or CRM systems
Experience developing or implementing volunteer orientation or training programs
Demonstrated ability to coordinate volunteers and support outreach or stewardship events
Experience managing data entry, gift processing, and donor acknowledgments with accuracy and confidentiality
Strong record of collaboration across departments, especially with communications and program staff
Experience supporting event logistics, such as donor receptions, community outreach, or fundraising campaigns
Familiarity with annual giving campaigns, donor segmentation, and tracking donor engagement metrics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for donor correspondence, volunteer recruitment, and outreach materials
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced nonprofit environment
Valid Washington State driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of required personal liability automobile insurance
Preferred
Experience assisting with grant tracking, sponsorships, and corporate giving programs
Familiarity with donor stewardship best practices and moves management
Familiarity with graphic design or online communications tools (e.g., Canva, Constant Contact, WordPress)
