Process Engineer

Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to safety regulation and standard. Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required
Create, configure, and optimize manufacturing processes from inception through start up to certification
Create Shop Routers and Bill of Materials
Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data
Gather, organize, and analyze data as required by process
Support any in-process issues on the shop floor
Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
Provide process documentation and operating instructions
Drive Continuous Improvements increasing productivity, cost-savings within existing processes
Follow 6s Procedures and maintains a clean organized work area
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or GED required
Processing experience in Mechanical Engineering
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
Ability to interpret blueprints and knowledge of GD&T
Working knowledge in the Aerospace Manufacturing industry to include Aerospace standards and specifications
Working knowledge of manufacturing outside processes i.e. Plating, Surface treatments and Heat Treat
Working knowledge of work holding methods and fixturing
Working knowledge of inspection processes
Advance Analytical skills to gather, process and interpret data to solve problems and make decisions
Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally
Strong attention to details
Time Management and Organizational skills
Excellent Interpersonal and customer service skills
Must be able to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Preferred

Associate degree or higher in related field preferred
CAD/CAM experience NX preferred
