New GradGrand Canyon University is committed to providing quality education and student support. The CET - Engineering Shop Technician will assist the College of Engineering and Technology with administrative duties related to the maintenance of the labs.
Education
Responsibilities
Assisting Shop Manger in the Engineering shops
Assisting with up-keep and supply monitoring
Responsible following all safety guidelines and instructions
Monitor the Engineering Shops and Capstone area assuring that students follow all safety guidelines and instructions
Learn and teach how to use equipment in the shops
Maintain an inventory of Shop equipment
Completing tasks as assigned by the lab coordinator
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to set and follow a schedule
Must be able to Nights and Saturdays when needed
Must be able to comply with safety protocols (training will be provided)
Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program
Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student
Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University
Preferred
Knowledge of Solidworks
