Responsibilities

Provides leadership and establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with all personnel on-site
Have a thorough and complete understanding of the general contract and each subcontract, their specific scope of work, the contract drawings, specifications, and to assist the Project Manager in the implementation of my client's on-site procedures
Review the contract drawings, specifications, addenda, and bulletins for design deficiencies, impractical details, and construct-ability issues, and bring these to the attention of the Project Manager who will review them with the Architect
Assist the Project Manager in the development, refinement, and updating of the project schedule
Plan and review the construction program with the Project Manager including quality control procedures, safety, cleanliness and security practices, field office location and layout, temporary utilities, staging areas, equipment, and manpower
Coordinate, direct, monitor, inspect, and record the activities of the Subcontractors, Suppliers, and labor/material
Verify that all required permits or licenses have been obtained and that a weatherproof bulletin board is installed on which all required safety notices are posted
Cooperate with and direct the activities of the inspection agencies, including remedial actions communicated by the agencies
Lead weekly coordination and safety meetings with Subcontractors. Receive and review the Subcontractor's daily reports of work completed and labor and materials employed
Review the Subcontractor's weekly updates of as-built prints
Review and verify the values of the Subcontractor's monthly requests for payment
Order and coordinate material deliveries to the job site
Review (NOT SIGN) all time and material work vouchers and invoices for approval by the Project Executive only
Maintain good relations and communications with all involved in the project including the public
Review the client's safety manual and OSHA regulations for all project-specific terms before work begins
Ensure that Subcontractors enforce their safety programs including the holding of toolbox safety meetings
Conduct employee safety orientations at the job site
Maintain an organized and clean job site, including the construction office
Performs other duties as assigned by management

Required

Prior data center industry experience is required
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to read blueprints/specifications and effectively use the following computer programs within a reasonable amount of time: Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Outlook & Word
Excellent technical and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and make sound engineering judgments
Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and adherence to project deadlines
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including project teams, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
Proficiency in using software applications for design, analysis, and documentation (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks)
Ability to work independently and in a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, working knowledge of iPad type instruments and various M/E industry 'Apps'
Know electrical systems basics and have a good working knowledge of NEC
Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb permanent and temporary stairs, ladders, crouch, kneel, and stand for long periods of time. Must also be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
Must be able to utilize close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and have the ability to adjust focus
Requires regular use of hands for inspection purposes
Must have a solid understanding of jobsite risks and know/adhere to appropriate safety protocol at all times
Must be able to work on multiple projects at one time
