Human Resources Specialist
DLA Careers is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to support their enterprise-wide training and career development programs. The role involves analyzing and revising policies, providing guidance, and developing strategies to enhance program visibility.

Responsibilities
Serves as the agency procedural writer for the following areas: enterprise-wide training and career development programs
Analyzes existing policies and procedures, creates and revises policies and procedures, and performs program evaluation
Anticipates program challenges; identifies applicable program, policy, and procedural areas of concern; and develops solutions to best support DLA’s strategic planning efforts
Develops and implements strategies to maintain program visibility and increase awareness at all levels
Recommends expansion or revision of DoD and OPM guidance as appropriate; comments on new proposals as requested
As a technical expert, provides staff level advice to both management and servicing HR offices in the development of solutions to especially complex problems

Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position
To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement
Creditable specialized experience includes: Providing technical and administrative guidance on all aspects of Federal civilian Human Resources (HR) services aligned to learning, development, and readiness initiatives
Analyzing and evaluating Federal civilian HR policy and procedures to identify issues and provide solutions
Providing direction and guidance in the following Federal civilian HR areas: enterprise-wide training and career development programs
