Mid LevelQvalFocus Inc. is seeking a hands-on Automation / Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in automated manufacturing within the life sciences or biopharmaceutical industry. This role focuses on upgrading and modifying filling and packaging lines, supporting automation projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Support upgrades and modifications to existing filling and packaging lines
Create and update line layouts and perform capacity analysis
Design fixturing and tooling; 3D printing experience is a plus
Develop User Requirement Specifications (URS) and collaborate closely with the CQV/Validation team
Own and execute equipment FATs (Factory Acceptance Testing)
Assist with automation and mechanical design activities using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Manage small to mid-sized automation projects from concept through execution
Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, validation, quality, and engineering teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
Hands-on engineering experience in automated manufacturing within life sciences or biopharma
Experience supporting fill/finish manufacturing environments (high-speed lines preferred)
Strong background in mechanical engineering concepts and manufacturing processes
Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Familiarity with PLCs and HMIs (controls engineering background not required)
Experience with line layouts, fixture design, and project execution
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Preferred
Experience with filling and capping equipment
Exposure to high-speed automated fill-finish lines
3D printing experience for tooling and fixture development
