Service Tech

Renaissance Windows and Doors is a growing manufacturer of premium quality windows and doors in Florida, seeking dedicated Field Service Technicians. The role involves providing excellent customer service, performing repairs and installations, and ensuring safety compliance while working in the field.

Responsibilities

Drive up to 6 hours in a single day
Replaces glass in windows or doors; Installs items such as window screens, install window or door sash, hardware, etc
Performs job site walk-through's and completes necessary paperwork, identifies items that need attention or correction prior to project finalization
Meets company safety requirements by keeping work area neat and clean, following safety precautions and wearing required safety apparel (i.e., shoes, safety glasses, etc.), and reporting any safety issues to the manager
Performs and completes service jobs on Renaissance Windows and Doors products in the field
Problem solves and diagnoses difficult issues in the field
Provides Customers with helpful information on the care, operation and maintenance of their window products
Generates and updates all service-related completes in Service Module following a service visit so that additional service calls can be scheduled, if necessary, and billing or credit can be completed
Conducts any necessary follow up service work or communication to bring resolution and a Very Satisfied Customer Service Rating from all Customers; Serves as a Customer Service Champion at all times
Identifies and orders parts over via Service Module
The ability to be a problem solver and manage multiple tasks, appropriately prioritize responsibilities, and work independently
Loads Service van with all necessary parts and equipment on an as-needed basis, no less than weekly
Abides by company Mission Statement, striving to achieve corporate goal of 100% Customer satisfaction, while making it easy for Customers to do business with the company and promoting market share growth
May be asked to assist in the training of new Field Service Technicians or employees in other departments
Maintains assigned Service vehicle
Performs any other necessary task assigned by the supervisor or company in support of company goals or assistance with customer issues
Completes service work orders and communicates any ongoing customer or product related issues with advisors
Must have a valid driver's license and be in compliance with company Fleet Safety Policy
Promotes and facilitates continuous improvement activities in the department

Required

Valid Driver's License
Ability to drive up to 6 hours in a single day
Ability to use/read/follow a map
The ability to lift 75-100 pounds
Ability to work off a ladder, up to 40 feet
Able to use hand and power tools safely and correctly
Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required
Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time
Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Great communication skills to work with customers
Amazing problem-solving skills
Ability to diagnose problems with equipment
Great mechanical aptitude
Ability to communicate in English

Preferred

Window and/or door experience (product knowledge)
A technical degree is preferable
