Responsibilities

Track, analyze, and communicate pending and enacted U.S. federal regulations, regulatory agency guidance, and industry directives to impacted business units
Monitor regulatory changes affecting products and services and provide clear, actionable guidance to internal and external stakeholders
Assist in drafting comment letters and responses to federal agencies on proposed regulatory issues
Partner with product and development teams to review and approve project requirements, design documents, and specifications to ensure regulatory compliance
Provide compliance reviews and direction for new, modified, or expanding products and services
Set priorities and timelines for regulatory issues that must be addressed by the business and ensure key milestones are met
Manage compliance direction for development design specifications and remediation efforts
Conduct periodic compliance assessments, reviews, and audits of products and services, with a focus on high-risk regulations
Identify potential regulatory violations, control weaknesses, or areas of exposure and recommend corrective actions
Respond to internal and external client inquiries related to product compliance and assist in providing final disposition of discrepancies
Support customer-specific compliance questions and issue resolution
Provide updates for monthly internal and external compliance reports
Coordinate and direct development of internal and customer-facing compliance communications, including bulletins, position statements, and regulatory updates
Participate in and support customer focus groups and advisory forums related to compliance matters
Meet regularly with application and product compliance liaisons to provide status updates on compliance initiatives and issues
Interface with legal counsel and federal, state, and local regulatory agencies as needed to resolve compliance matters
Participate in compliance committees, core working groups, and governance forums
Support annual IRS and year-end processing modification projects
Participate in the development and delivery of compliance training sessions and presentations
Promote compliance awareness through internal education initiatives
Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
Strong working knowledge of U.S. banking and payments regulations, including Regulations A–Z and UDAAP
Experience interpreting regulatory guidance and applying it to product and operational environments
Ability to work cross-functionally with product, technology, legal, and operations teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting regulatory guidance and customer communications

Preferred

Experience with payments association and card network compliance, including Visa, Mastercard, NACHA, SWIFT, and ISO standards
Experience in fintech compliance, including money transmission, crypto, and/or stablecoin-related regulations
Familiarity with regulatory examinations, audits, and interactions with regulatory agencies
Prior experience in a financial services technology or payments processing environment
