Responsibilities
Represent insurers, self-insureds, or insureds on high-exposure matters
Prepare detailed coverage opinions
Litigate declaratory judgment and bad-faith actions
Advise insurers on policy interpretation, exclusions, trigger and allocation issues, and claim handling strategy across primary, excess, and umbrella programs
Manage matters from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal
Advise on policy interpretation, allocation, indemnity, and liability defenses while coordinating evidence preservation, SIU investigations, and regulatory compliance for clients facing high-stakes claims
Qualification
Required
A portable book of business (typically $500K+; flexible based on fit and growth potential)
Practices in insurance coverage, bad faith, SIU, catastrophe, transportation, asbestos, or complex liability defense
Interest in a platform that actively invests in partner success rather than simply collecting overhead
