The Staff Accountant will handle various accounting tasks, while the Accounts Payable Clerk will manage invoice processing and vendor relations.

Responsibilities
Reconciling bank statements
Preparing and recording journal entries
Maintaining fixed asset records and recording monthly depreciation
Updating Prepaid and Accrual records and making monthly journal entries
Preparing intercompany billing
Maintaining inventory records and management of inventory general ledger accounts
Preparing payroll journal entries
Prepare Sales Tax returns
Prepare Business Personal Property Tax returns
Maintaining Debt and Lease records
Assist in preparing and filing various state and local returns
Backup for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable in busy times and during staff vacations
Receiving and verifying invoices for goods and services
Processing and posting invoice transactions
Processing and preparing checks or electronic payments
Reviewing Vendor statements monthly
Reconciling and coding credit card transactions
Resolving invoice discrepancies and issues
Maintaining vendor files and records
Processing employee expense reports
Ensuring timely payment of invoices
Performing month-end closing procedures
Assisting with audits by providing necessary information and reports
Assisting Accounts Payable Manager and/or Controller with gathering data and preparing reports
Maintaining confidentiality of organizational information
Qualification
Required
Previous staff accountancy experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Must maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
Good knowledge of the Accounts Payables processes
