Responsibilities
Work on building applications for Web, Android or iOS platforms that will have a direct impact on our users’ wellbeing
Work on building our REST API to empower users and our internal team to succeed
Work with all members of your development team to:
Help define user scenarios and acceptance criteria on projects
Estimate project timelines
Plan out Epic development tasks and stories
Help manage the release management process
Work with our product team to understand and design great user experiences
Play a critical part in our team owned product quality by practicing high code quality standards and following unit and automated test practices
Work to become a technical leader on the team
Qualification
Required
2-3 years experience as a software application developer
Experience working in JavaScript based web development frameworks (Angular, React, Vue.js)
Experience using Java and the Spring-Boot framework
Experience using REST APIs
Experience with Git or other version control system
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate within the team and with project stakeholders
Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or other software development post secondary program and/or equivalent on the job experience
Preferred
Experience working in start-up environments an asset
Prior experience in digital health would be an asset but not required. Interest and passion to improve health care outcomes for patients is key
Experience building great user experiences
Display a customer focus and strong user empathy
A highly coachable attitude and mindset
Experience with AWS would be an asset but not essential
