AWM Senior Trust Business Development Officer

Responsibilities
Grow trust revenue and trust assets in a manner consistent with profitability metrics with responsibility for $85,000 annual production of new recurring revenue or $100,000 one-time fee revenue
Maintain professional peer group
Handle the affluent and high net worth segment of the industry with investable assets of $1 million or greater
Focus on core business development and develop holistic, integrated, and comprehensive planning strategies for affluent and high net worth clients
Develop customized solutions in areas such as, but not limited to, tax planning, business succession planning, equity risk management, stock option planning, investment planning, insurance planning, debt management, estate and charitable planning, and retirement planning
Develop, consult on, and implement tax, estate, and financial plans for clients. Collaborate with other AWM Wealth Management associates and appropriate senior level Wealth Advisors to retain, expand, and deepen existing relationships and to make sure the client is receiving the expected level of service for all relationships
Be accountable for complex business development and selling products and services by: Developing new client relationships through networking, prospecting, and referrals Enhancing existing client relationships by identifying additional Bank and Arvest Wealth Management products and services. Determine the prospect or client’s financial goals through Financial Planning. Retaining and growing assets under management by working with clients, prospective clients, and Centers of Influence, and providing advice and implementation. Cultivating and closing high net worth deals
Build and manage high-quality client relationships and develop a network of contacts and prospects within the affluent and high net worth market by: Cultivating existing bank clients as well as internal and external business and personal contacts to identify and develop prospective clients. Developing new clients and driving sales engagements individually with external sources, as well as jointly with internal partners Working closely with appropriate client advisors, investment officers, and/or trust administrators to make sure the client is receiving the expected level of service for all relationships. Maintaining and developing extensive client, professional, public, governmental, and internal bank contacts for communications, service, and counseling in bank, investment, and trust matters Focusing on expanding network of attorneys, CPAs, and other market leaders to sell products and services
Educate and advise prospects and clients by: Providing advanced wealth, retirement, and estate planning strategies to clients. Thoroughly review and assess client net worth by conducting reviews and research, as appropriate, and developing financial, tax, estate analyses and plans Focusing on cash flow analysis, insurance analysis, education funding analysis, executive compensation issues, stock analysis, asset allocation analysis, income tax planning, charitable planning, business succession, asset protection planning, and estate and wealth transfer planning Structuring and presenting financial plans/presentations in a simple to understand, conversational manner
Maintain knowledge of: A full range of wealth management philosophy and strategy services (e.g., asset management, retirement planning, estate and charitable planning, investment management, security custody, financial consulting, stock option planning, insurance planning, and business succession planning) The principles and practices for selling products, technology, and services to provide overall product/service ‘value’ and differentiate support offerings that address customer needs. Financial markets, economic events, trends, risks, etc. High level of professional education updates and opportunities to keep current on industry issues and regulations
Maintain high ethical standards, never sacrifice integrity, and work in each client’s best interest
Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field required
Higher level education such as Masters, PhD, JD, LL.M., CPWA, CTFA, CFP, or CPA required
7 years of business development/sales, trust, customer service, investment management finance experience required
FINRA Series 66 (or Series 65) licensing required
Life/Health/Annuity Insurance license required or must obtain within 60 days of hire
Demonstrated experience with past affluent and high net worth clients required
In-depth knowledge of complex estate and taxation strongly required
Broad knowledge of investment management and needs based sales techniques required
Extensive knowledge of fiduciary management techniques, investments, tax, and legal issues as obtained through formal trust schools and seminars such as the ABA curriculum, Cannon Trust Schools, etc
Actively involved in community and professional organizations including board service
Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members
