Data Center Master Electrician / Electrical Supervisor

Responsibilities
Maintain electrical systems for, servers, UPS systems, switchboards, emergency backup generators, and other critical infrastructure
Lead the operations and maintenance of electrical panels, cabling, circuit breakers, transformers, and distribution systems
Oversee the electrical layout, ensuring all systems are configured for efficiency and safety
Diagnose electrical faults, outages, and failures across all electrical systems
Perform electrical testing, including insulation-resistance, ground continuity, low-voltage, medium-voltage, and high-voltage systems as necessary
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical components, power distribution units (PDUs), and emergency backup systems
Lead and mentor electrical teams, ensuring that all installations are done according to safety regulations and best practices
Coordinate with other departments (HVAC, network, mechanical) to ensure systems are integrated and running smoothly
Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes and standards (NEC, OSHA, NFPA)
Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies
Act as a safety champion, ensuring work areas are safe and comply with all electrical safety standards
Train and mentor apprentice electricians and journeymen in proper procedures, electrical code compliance, and troubleshooting techniques
Identify opportunities to enhance electrical systems for efficiency, uptime, and energy
Recommend upgrades or system improvements to meet evolving needs, especially related to high-density power systems for AI data center development and operations
Stay up to date with industry advancements and electrical technologies, providing insights to senior leadership
Qualification
Required
Licensed Master Electrician with 5+ years of hands-on electrical experience in data centers, industrial, or high-demand environments
Proven experience with high-voltage systems, power distribution, and emergency backup systems (generators, UPS)
Knowledge of electrical systems for data centers and similar high-density power environments requiring mission-critical operations
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with an ability to work under pressure in critical situations
In-depth knowledge of NEC codes, OSHA standards, and NFPA 70E regulations
Experience managing electrical projects and mentoring teams in the field
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and single-line diagrams
