The Boeing Company is currently seeking Software Engineers - Hardware Emulation (Associate, Experienced, Senior) to join the Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC-3) team located in Huntsville, AL. This role focuses on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization, contributing to the development and testing of complex test equipment for missile defense systems.

Responsibilities

Contribute to development and deployment of automated test equipment for lab and factory automation, including data processing and control algorithm development

Work in small agile teams composed of diverse engineering skills

Use your talents to take on complex problems on a variety of programs

Responsible for developing technical products, plans, documentation, and briefings in support of program requirements

Required

2+ years of experience with software development using either Java, C++, or Python

Preferred

Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

2+ years of experience in LabVIEW Development

2+ years of experience reading electrical schematics is strongly desired

2+ years of experience in instrumentation control over common buses (serial, GPIB, ethernet, etc.)

2+ years of experience or, alternatively, accredited coursework with some form of sensor system which may include astronomy sensors, high energy physics sensors, electromagnetic or radar sensors, EO/IR sensors, biomedical sensors, or complex sensors used in manufacturing or analysis

Experience/coursework in optical or electromagnetic (RF - radio frequency) sensing or communication systems such as GPS, GNSS, MILSAT, Iridium, Starlink, RF, or electromagnetic astronomy

Some work experience or school projects involving complex RF communication systems like cellular technologies, backhaul systems, police/fire radio systems, or military communications

Some software projects involving the development of models, simulations, or control systems

Some type of work experience or school project involving MATLAB analysis of fluid systems or RF/optical sensing systems

Some work experience or school project involving orbital mechanics or high-speed flight
