Warehouse Sales Manager
The Greater Houston Retailers Cooperative Association (GHRA) is a leading independent convenience store cooperative in the nation. They are seeking a Warehouse Sales Manager to drive new sales and acquire new customers for warehouse services, focusing on business development and relationship-building to foster repeat business.
Responsibilities
Identify, prospect, and acquire new customers for warehouse services
Generate and pursue new sales opportunities within targeted markets
Establish a pipeline of leads through various sales techniques, including cold calling, networking, and referrals
Develop and implement sales strategies to grow sales within existing assigned accounts
Increase sales revenue through the identification and cultivation of new business opportunities
Regularly visit and engage with existing customers to expand sales and ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to encourage repeat business
Act as the main point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly
Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and personalized service
Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable related to new sales, ensuring timely payments
Work with the finance team to ensure that payments and invoices are processed according to company standards
Ensure all financial transactions align with the company’s budget guidelines and standards
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adapt sales strategies accordingly
Maintain up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales performance in GHRA systems
Report weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress on sales goals and customer acquisition efforts
Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing, customer support, and logistics, to ensure seamless experience for customers
Provide feedback on customer needs and preferences to help improve service offerings and sales strategies
Contribute to the overall team sales targets and support colleagues in achieving team goals
Maintain accurate and organized records of sales transactions, customer communications, and potential leads
Assist in the preparation of proposals, quotes, and contracts for new customers
Qualification
Required
Experience in new customer acquisition, business development, and growing sales in assigned accounts
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build relationships
Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet sales goals
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
The work conditions are primarily in a retail setting of a customer store, vehicle, or occasionally in an office environment
A valid driver's license and a good driving record
Be able to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check
May be standing or sitting for extended periods of time
Extended period of time working in front of computer monitor
Some days of prolonged walking
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Preferred
5+ years of proven sales experience in a similar industry (warehouse, logistics, or related fields preferred)
Knowledge of warehouse services and logistics is a plus
