Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, including related disclosures and documentation
Manage and mentor two direct reports, fostering their professional development and technical growth
Serve as the primary liaison with outsourced tax firms for federal, state, and international tax compliance
Analyze complex tax issues, including deferred tax assets/liabilities, uncertain tax positions, and valuation allowances
Monitor and interpret changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company’s tax position
Support tax audits and manage responses to inquiries from tax authorities
Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, and Legal teams to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions
Drive process improvements and implement best practices within the tax function
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 6 years of progressive tax experience, ideally with public accounting experience
Deep understanding of ASC 740 and U.S. income tax regulations
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Experience with tax provision software
Preferred
CPA or MST preferred
