Post Doctoral Associate - Harris Lab
The University of Pittsburgh is home to the Environmental Fatigue and Fracture Laboratory, which focuses on the mechanical behavior of structural metals in extreme environments. The Post Doctoral Associate will conduct research, manage projects, and mentor students while contributing to the lab's diverse funded programs.

Responsibilities
Execute materials characterization and mechanical testing in support of projects related to fatigue, fracture, and environmental degradation of structural metals
Manage project progression and successful completion of identified milestones
Assist with reporting of project results to sponsors via presentations and written reports
Provide mentorship to graduate and undergraduate students working in the laboratory
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Experience with materials characterization, mechanical testing, and alloy processing via heat treatment or other means
Preferred
Experience with corrosion testing is desired but not required
