Responsibilities
Design, build, scale, and tune enterprise-grade security tooling across a modern financial environment
Own and optimize third-party security platforms such as Splunk, Carbon Black, Swimlane, or other SOAR, SIEM, EDR, and IAM tools
Engineer security solutions, not just configure them, with automation, integrations, and custom logic
Write and maintain clean, object-oriented code (Python preferred) to automate workflows, enrich alerts, and reduce operational noise
Partner closely with infrastructure, networking, and engineering teams to embed security into the fabric of the platform
Influence security architecture and tooling decisions as the company continues to scale
Qualification
Required
10+ years of hands-on IT security engineering experience
Strong object-oriented programming background, Python is preferred
Proven experience building, scaling, and tuning security tools in production environments
Deep familiarity with platforms like Splunk, Carbon Black, Swimlane, or comparable SOAR, SIEM, or EDR technologies
An engineering mindset. You like solving hard problems, automating the boring stuff, and making systems better than you found them
Preferred
Experience in financial services or highly regulated environments is a plus, but strong engineering judgment matters more
