Product Supply and Trading Systems Manager-EBAND003

Responsibilities
Acting as a strategic thought partner and subject matter expert to senior leadership, this role delivers advanced analytical insights and architectural direction for accounting operations within RightAngle and SAP
Manages the design, analysis, and implementation of complex configurations and process changes that directly affect the business earnings and compliance with GAAP
Conducts comprehensive impact assessments for new business initiatives and system enhancements, ensuring seamless integration across teams and platforms
Oversees and interprets RightAngle’s closing verification reports with a critical, detail-oriented approach; mentor and train accounting staff in the resolution of intricate issues affecting transaction flows between RightAngle and SAP, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
Partners closely with executive and senior leadership to communicate complex findings, recommend actionable solutions, and influence decision-making related to enterprise financial systems
Leads high-impact analytical initiatives at the request of senior management, collaborating with accounting, Product Supply, and Trading teams to deliver actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions and process improvements
Supports inventory oversight within RightAngle, proactively identifying and mitigating transactional discrepancies that could distort earnings performance
Leads cross-functional initiatives involving multiple departments to align business and accounting processes, advance automation efforts, and enhance operational efficiency
Lead organizational change management efforts for new system implementations and process transformations, ensuring organizational readiness and adoption
Identify and implement enhancements to system configurations that streamline financial close activities, elevate reporting accuracy, optimize earnings analysis
Develop RightAngle reports and complementary solutions to streamline the accounting process that allow us to meet close deadlines and support the accounting analysis needed for business unit earnings
Mentors and develops team members by delivering targeted training on complex transaction flows and system processes, sharing best practices and cultivating a culture of analytical excellence and continuous improvement across the organization
Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to proactively assess and anticipate training needs driven by system enhancements, business expansions, or process changes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
Perform analysis as requested by the department manager to assist Product Supply and trading business analysis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, management information systems or economics
7 years job related experience
Strong accounting acumen, active CPA license is required
Expert-level Right Angle and extensive hands-on SAP FI experience
Requires intermediate knowledge of the refining industry, including scheduling and logistics
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Power BI is required, including data visualization and business intelligence tools
Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty, evidenced by successful completion of complex financial analyses or projects with limited guidance, and a consistent track record of proactively identifying and resolving issues
Demonstrated passion for driving change and innovation within the role
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
Active professional license can count as an additional year of experience
