Palmetto Corp is a company focused on roadway and heavy civil construction projects. The Entry-Level Project Engineer will support project planning, execution, and documentation while collaborating closely with project managers and field crews.

Responsibilities

Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project execution

Support coordination between field crews, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers

Track quantities, production rates, and daily progress

Prepare and maintain daily reports, field logs, and meeting minutes

Assist with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications

Maintain organized project files in accordance with company and DOT requirements

Assist with short-term look-ahead schedules and overall project schedules

Track material deliveries, equipment usage, and labor hours

Support cost tracking and budget updates

Assist with quality control documentation and testing coordination

Ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and DOT standards

Support inspections and resolve punch list items

Promote and support jobsite safety policies and procedures

Participate in safety meetings and audits

Assist in documenting incidents and corrective actions
