Responsibilities

Review and prepare the monthly consolidated financial statement variance analysis for management
Participate in the review of external department deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency with SEC filings and internal reports and documents, as well as compliance with SEC rules governing non-GAAP metrics
Keep up to date on new innovative accounting and reporting tools and review proposed or alternate accounting and financial reporting processes for efficiency
Participate in the review of existing and proposed regulations of the FASB, SEC, and/or other authoritative bodies that formulate or have jurisdiction over financial reporting or accounting matters that will impact the Company
Participate in the interpretation and analysis of new accounting principles to assess the financial statement impact, and the implementation of accounting-related changes to ensure compliance
Participate in the development of the Company's position relative to financial reporting and accounting issues, and review responses to authoritative rule-making bodies when appropriate to affect the final outcome
Prepare and/review various schedules and reports for internal users, external auditors, and assist in the audit of financial statements and related footnotes
Provide direct support on various special projects to improve reporting processes

Required

At least 4 - 6 years of public accounting, and/or public company SEC
Proficient knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, banking SEC requirements
Able to convey in original written correspondence and reports, complex technical matter in a clear and concise manner, adapted to the needs of technical and non-technical clients
Full understanding of the Big Picture and ability to interpret accounting and financial theories and concepts and propose alternative solutions to the Company's current business
Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills; including research skills regarding current and prospective updates to reporting
Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well with deadlines
Team-oriented and able to handle multiple assignments and be deadline oriented
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation
Effective communication, written, presentation, analytical, and research skills
Ability to partner well with internal stakeholders
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and at least 4 years of public accounting and/or SEC reporting experience

Preferred

Banking experience highly preferred
CPA license preferred
