Quality Internship (Mechanical and Chemical Engineering Majors)

Responsibilities
Tracking plant performance and finding and implement solutions for improvement
Collaborate on the updates and creation of specifications and procedures
Learn the basics of rubber compounding in a corporate and manufacturing environment
Support operation of the equipment to ensure quality and consistency
Design new dies and splice bars to optimize the extrusion process
Work on curing optimization for existing and new tires by completing thermocouple and blow point studies
Review tire quality data to assess uniformity and balance performance and drive improvement projects
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in the following areas: Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or any other relevant area
Minimum 3.0 overall GPA required
Mobility & availability for relocation out of state required
Incoming freshman level or higher
Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
