CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Water/WW Project Engineer to join their Water/Wastewater Team in Blacksburg, VA. In this role, you will lead the planning, analysis, and design of wastewater collection systems, while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring projects are completed within budget and scheduling constraints.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for water/wastewater projects
Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff
Monitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues in vital infrastructure
Complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting sustainable and cost-effective solutions
Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff

Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseEngineering software proficiencyQA/QC procedures knowledgeLeadership skillsCommunication skillsCollaboration skills

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required
Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations
