Responsibilities
Assist with monitoring field construction activities to verify work is progressing in accordance with drawings, specifications, schedules, and safety requirements
Support project execution planning, including constructability reviews and coordination with engineering and operations teams
Assist with project scheduling and cost estimating, including quantity take-offs and progress tracking
Support surveying activities, including data collection, layout verification, and interpretation of survey information
Assist the Tailings group with routine inspections, monitoring, data collection, and documentation as required
Prepare technical reports, drawings, and project documentation
Ensure compliance with site safety protocols, environmental requirements, and company standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, operations, and safety personnel
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering or a related field
Basic understanding of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and field-based work environments
Proven work ethic, reliability, and willingness to take initiative
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to safety and attention to detail
Preferred
Completed coursework in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, construction management, or surveying preferred
Familiarity with AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a plus
