Performance Improvement Consultant, Neurology, Fulltime, First Shift

Responsibilities

Evaluate current performance metrics to identify areas for improvement amongst assigned areas throughout the system
Conduct root cause analysis to gain insight into the core problems
Streamline processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste through best practices and innovative solutions
Introduce best practices and innovative solutions
Establish performance monitoring systems to track progress and conduct regular reviews for strategy adjustments based on performance data
Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards
Implement practices that promote safety, quality, and compliance
Deliver change management strategies and tactics as needed to move improvement projects to completion
Lead initiatives to partner with data and project management teams to complete analyses and make data-driven decisions related to performance improvement
Subject Matter Expert and lead resource/coach to teams, colleagues, staff, and participants on how to use improvement methodology and tools in healthcare
Support staff and participants improvement project work with expert guidance on improvement methodology and tools
Deliver change management strategies and tactics as needed to move improvement projects to completion
Subject Matter Expert and resource to participants of the UC Health PI Way Education Courses
Partner with clinical and data teams to gather accurate and relevant data for improvement projects
Define key performance indicators to track progress and assess success towards performance improvement initiatives
Identify patterns and trends through UC Health PI Way data tools and methodologies to highlight areas of strength and opportunities for improvement
Utilize dashboards and UC Health PI Way tools to track ongoing performance and flag potential risks
Create detailed reports and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment to the system and performance improvement strategic plan
Communicate progress and outcomes to relevant stakeholders on project updates and performance
Deliver clear, efficient, and professional communication in support of the activities and projects of the department, system and operational goals across system departments, sites and/or teams as appropriate
Lead the prioritization of multiple requests for information
Design, create, assemble, and distribute materials for project communications and courses as necessary

Required

Bachelor's Degree - Clinical, Engineering, Business, Public Health or a related field
1 - 2 Years equivalent experience

Preferred

Master's Degree - Clinical, Engineering, Business, Public Health or a related field
Lean Six Sigma Green Black Belt (LSSGB)
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB)
Certified Practitioner of Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
3 - 5 Years equivalent experience
