Payroll Specialist - Temporary

They are hiring a Temporary Payroll Specialist to join their centralized team in the Denver Tech Center, CO, responsible for analyzing, verifying, and processing payroll accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

Analyze, verify, and process the organization's payroll accurately and on time
Apply knowledge of payroll processing, tax reciprocities and garnishments in a multi-faceted organization
Assist with calculating commissions, paychecks, and bonus payments. Maintain payroll records
Resolve inquiries from team members
May check the work of others to ensure that the payroll is processed accurately
Duties may include accounting, distributing and preparing payments, ensure commission, bonus, and other files are uploaded within established timelines

Required

High School degree and a minimum of 3 years of multistate payroll experience
Superior attention to detail
Ability to work independently, research, and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a nimble environment
Ability to utilize a computer and other office equipment
Excellent Excel skills, that include performing vlookups, subtotaling, creating formulas that use 'if' 'then' statements, etc
Ability to make basic math calculations

Preferred

Preferred experience in UKG
Exposure to various areas of human resources, including benefits and payroll tax preferred
Ability to run existing queries is preferred
Experience with UltiPro and Workforce Dimensions preferred
