Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate CNC Vertical Machining Centers
Write, edit, and troubleshoot G & M code (including at the machine)
Operate CNC mills including Haas VF-10, VF-4, VF-3, and Fadal
Schedule CNC machines to meet production deadlines
Perform machine setups, breakdowns, PM scheduling, and cleaning
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues
Train and oversee CNC machine operators
Machine and fabricate parts from steel and aluminum
Operate additional shop equipment (manual mills, lathes, press brake, saws, drills, etc.)
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and sketches
Work closely with designers and management to meet customer needs
Maintain productivity, quality, and shop organization
Handle short-lead and rush jobs (some overtime required)
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years CNC programming experience with Vertical Machining Centers required
Strong knowledge of CNC programming software and machine-side editing
Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling, and shop practices
Ability to accurately read blueprints and tape measures
Strong math skills (fractions & decimals required)
Experience machining steel and aluminum
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
CNC Programming and Operating: 5 years (Required)
Preferred
CNC Fabrication experience is highly preferred
CNC Fabrication: 1 year (Preferred)
