Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for healthcare EDI transactions including 837, 820, 835, 270/271, 277U, and NCPDP
Perform end-to-end testing of EDI inbound and outbound flows , ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity
Develop and maintain EDI test automation frameworks and scripts using Python, C#, and VBScript
Validate EDI mappings, transformations, acknowledgements, and error handling using tools such as IBM ITX and EDIFECS
Ensure all EDI testing activities comply with HIPAA regulations and healthcare data security standards
Collaborate with EDI developers, business analysts, and downstream systems to understand requirements and testing scope
Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with development teams for resolution and retesting
Execute regression testing for EDI enhancements, upgrades, and production fixes
Provide clear test documentation , including test cases, test execution results, and defect reports
Support UAT and production validation efforts as needed
Qualification
Required
Strong experience in healthcare EDI transactions
Experience with compliance standards
Experience in test automation
