Responsibilities

Work with the senior certified planner to build increasing skills to review and interpret regulatory codes, ordinances, and comprehensive plans
Review and analyze land features relating to opportunities, constraints, and layout options for development
Work with the senior certified planner to build increasing skills to prepare due diligence analysis, land development concepts, master development plans, and graphic illustrations using both digital and hand drawn formats
Work with senior certified planners to develop and refine design solutions
Use in depth knowledge of land planning theory and concepts in preparing land development concepts and master development plans
Increasing responsibility to participate in project meetings with staff, clients, & regulatory agencies
Assist in editing technical plans, details, and specifications
Visit construction sites to gather information, review design intent, inform and support senior project team members during the construction phase
Use in depth knowledge of entitlement procedures and required regulatory approvals
Ensures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the Planning service
Lead by example - display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism
Project geographic focus to be mainly in the South region through local office markets but supported by national Planning service team and expertise
