New GradTexas First Rentals is seeking an Apprentice Shop Service Technician who will assist the Shop Service Supervisor through on-the-job training while developing as a technician. The role involves performing maintenance and repair of the rental fleet, as well as attending required training classes.

Responsibilities
Assists in performing maintenance and repair of rental fleet
Assists with installation, repairs, maintenance, and replacement of mechanical and electrical components
Examines and test equipment, components, and parts to ensure the proper functioning
Adjusts, connects, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts
Attends required classroom instructions by Pro-Tech and HDSI classes
Maintains safety training and procedures
Receives coaching, mentoring, and feedback from service leadership
Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge of basic arithmetic and its applications
Knowledge of computer software and hardware applications
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
Ability to read, write, and interpret information
Ability to follow directions and guidelines
Ability to receive coaching, mentoring, and feedback from Service Leadership
Ability to learn many different types of repair procedures on a variety of mechanical equipment
Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
