Staff Development Specialist I
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest agencies in the state, responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of North Carolinians. The Staff Development Specialist I will develop and conduct training programs for individuals who are blind and visually impaired, enabling them to achieve independence and employment goals.

Responsibilities
Develops, implements, and conducts initial training for the potential Business Enterprises (BE) operators
Provides ongoing skill-building training for licensed operators throughout the state
Development of training curricula and related materials
Evaluation of the training curriculum and format for effectiveness
Responding to requests to assist individual operators in identified problem areas
Plans, coordinates, and conducts in-service training for Division staff in the BE Program
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution
One year of experience in a progressive training or teaching role
One year of experience in a human service, counseling, or training program in the subject matter specified
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively deliver competency‑based training
Skilled in providing food‑service instruction
