HR Coordinator
Maryville University of Saint Louis is seeking an HR Coordinator to serve as a utility player within the Human Resources team. The role involves administering student employment programs, managing budgetary aspects, and facilitating onboarding processes while contributing to various HR projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities
Administer the student employment program, including updating job descriptions, maintaining employee and supervisor resources, coordinating work-study student orientation, and implementing recognition and retention initiatives (e.g., National Student Employment Week, Outstanding Student Employee Award program)
Supervise all community service student employees and any student employees in the HR department
Implement policies, guidelines, and procedures related to student employment activities
Prepare annual budget requests for the student employment program and monitor expenditures and hours
Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding over/under working hours
Maintain accurate records and files, prepare correspondence, reports, and other written materials related to student employment
Oversee annual student employee reviews and resolve issues between students and supervisors
Collaborate with HR team members on initiatives such as creating a monthly newsletter, facilitating new employee orientation, and updating the organization chart
Engage as a key team member in administering graduate assistantship and apprenticeship programs, overseeing application processes, budget proposals, recruitment support, onboarding, payroll setup, and exit interviews
Manage the onboarding process for camp workers, including communication with administrators, offer letter preparation, I-9 and compliance training oversight, background checks, post-camp follow-ups, credentialing, payroll accuracy, HR collaboration, and process integration analysis
Qualification
Required
Understanding of policies and guidelines surrounding the federal work-study program
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and an HRIS
Ability to advise college students in campus employment assignments as it relates to their career goals
Minimum of two years of experience in human resources or an administrative support role
Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
Detail-oriented
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a closely related field
