Solutions Engineer

Titan Protection and Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Engineer who will serve as the technical authority responsible for validating and engineering sales-driven system designs. This role ensures operational viability and compliance with standards while acting as a gatekeeper between Sales proposals and Operations execution.

Responsibilities

Review all sales system designs, including camera layouts, fields of view, storage calculations, and coverage plans
Validate network topology, power requirements, wireless links, and deployment models (trailer-based, fixed site, mobile, temporary)
Ensure all designs comply with Titan engineering standards and applicable UL, Five Diamond, and OSHA requirements
Identify design flaws, missing components, and scope risks prior to approval
Red-line and return incorrect proposals with clear engineering guidance for revision
Build and approve the official Bill of Materials (BOM) for each project
Ensure all hardware, accessories, mounting components, power elements, and consumables are accounted for
Verify part numbers, models, firmware compatibility, and lead times
Serve as the final technical approval authority prior to equipment ordering
Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure correct sourcing
Identify over-engineered or under-engineered solutions
Recommend cost-optimized alternatives while maintaining performance and compliance standards
Ensure system designs align with target margin thresholds
Provide pre-sales engineering support for complex or high-value opportunities
Participate in design calls to translate customer requirements into compliant technical solutions
Develop standard design templates for recurring deployment scenarios
Deliver install-ready design packages to Field Services, including approved layouts, wiring diagrams, mounting specifications, and safety considerations
Participate in post-install reviews to identify improvement opportunities and refine standards
Maintain and update Titan’s engineering standards library
Track common installation failure points and revise standards accordingly
Support training initiatives for Sales and Field teams on system design best practices

Required

3–7+ years of experience in security systems engineering, low-voltage systems, surveillance, or GSOC environments
Strong technical understanding of IP cameras, NVRs, networking, wireless bridges, PoE, cellular failover, and redundancy models
Experience with storage calculations, bandwidth modeling, and system scalability
Proven experience building BOMs and validating equipment compatibility
Excellent cross-department communication and documentation skills
High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational abilities

Preferred

CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D
Manufacturer certifications (Axis, Hanwha, Avigilon, Verkada, or similar)
CompTIA Network+ or equivalent
