Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of controls engineers, providing technical guidance and career development
Allocate resources, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely project delivery
Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment
Plan and direct controls-related project responsibilities from concept through commissioning
Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and risk assessments
Ensure compliance with organizational standards and industry regulations
Design, develop, and implement control systems including PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA integration
Oversee system simulations, testing, and debugging to ensure functionality and reliability
Stay current with emerging automation technologies and implement best practices
Participate in technical discussions with clients and internal teams
Provide training and support for customers and maintenance staff
Prepare documentation, including operating instructions and system specifications

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field
7+ years in controls engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, etc.)
Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus)
Knowledge of safety standards (ANSI, IEC, NFPA)
Knowledge of working in a GAMP/GxP environment
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively

Preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent
Functional Safety Certification (TÜV or similar)
