IT Director
City of Richland is seeking an IT Director to oversee a variety of tasks related to park maintenance and community service. The role includes supervising workers, maintaining facilities, and ensuring safe recreation areas for public use.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
May involve supervision of community service workers, inmates, volunteers, etc. in various parks and recreation maintenance activities
Prepare athletic fields/courts for play according to weather needs
Clean restrooms on a daily basis, and other facilities as necessary
Empty waste receptacles and pick up litter on a daily basis
Perform landscaping duties (mowing, pruning, watering, planting, etc.) as required
Regularly inspect playground/other equipment for signs of wear, vandalism, etc
May unlock/lock facilities at opening/closing time
May collect fees and prepare deposit slips
Qualification
Required
Graduation from High School
One year experience in park maintenance/ballfield maintenance or a related field
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to work outside during all seasons
Ability to operate hand tools and small equipment in a safe manner
Ability to deal with the public in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner
Skill in handling cleaning supplies in an environmentally safe manner
Ability to detect improper functioning of equipment
Ability to perform basic maintenance on hand tools and/or small equipment
Depending upon assignment, ability to perform basic mathematical skills
