Responsibilities
Serve as the subject-matter expert (SME) for Mainframe Top Secret Security Administration to ensure data security and regulatory compliance
Coordinate and execute daily system administration activities including: Mainframe configuration, Break/fix support, User account creation and access management
Administer z/OS operating systems and components, including planning, implementation, testing, and support of system changes, releases, and upgrades
Conduct routine administration tasks such as: Security administration support, Performance monitoring, Security monitoring, System maintenance
Support data entry and control processes and coordinate mainframe operations within the State's Consolidated Data Center Services (DCS)
Collaborate with Network Administration, Customer Support, and Application Development & Support teams to ensure seamless mainframe operations
Provide end-user support for ISV products such as BlueZone
Qualification
Required
Extensive, hands-on experience in Mainframe Top Secret Security Administration
Strong expertise in z/OS administration and system components
Proven experience with: Security compliance, Audit practices, Risk mitigation in mainframe environments
Ability to provide advanced technical support for operating systems, network components, and ISV products
8 years of Hands-On Experience with TSS (Top Secret Security)
5 years of Hands-On Experience with z/OS Administration
5 years of Experience with JES2, z/OS Unix System Services (OMVS), Storage Management Subsystem (SMS)
3+ years of Experience with TLS configuration (certificates, SSL RSA Keys, SFTP, FTPS)
Preferred
Experience with REXX
Experience with performance monitoring to include initial analysis of performance issues
Experience with Informatica Power Exchange Administration
Working knowledge for each of the following: z/OS Operation, z/OS Networking VTAM (Virtual Telecommunications Access Method), TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol), z/OS-centric automated job scheduling and management software (JOBTRAC), Terminal Emulator Software (BLUEZONE), VTAM Session Manager Software (VTAM/SWITCH), SMP/E (System Modification Program/Extended), RMF (Resource Measurement Facility), SMF (System Management Facility), WLM (Workload Management), JCL (Job Control Language), GRS (Global Resource Serialization), VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method), TSO (Time Sharing Option)
