Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and train a team of QA Inspectors
Conduct routine inspections and testing of products
Audit processes in real time to ensure SOPs are followed
Lead investigation and resolution efforts for quality or food safety concerns on the production floor
Proactively identify and implement improvements in quality and food safety as well as other areas of the business where appropriate
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and other company policies
Train and provide feedback to other team members
Support and lead internal audits
Monitor critical control points in our processes to maintain standards of quality and safety
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and warehouse teams to troubleshoot and resolve concerns that may arise
Communicate with leadership efforts to identify root cause and resolution efforts of any quality or food safety concern
Lead by example in promoting a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and food safety
Cover responsibilities for other team members when they are absent
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3-5 years in a quality assurance role, preferably in food manufacturing
Proficiency in computer use as well as data collection, analysis, and reporting
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to upholding quality standards
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, food science, or related field preferred
Familiarity with food safety programs like HACCP, SQF, and FSMA, and any certifications in these areas are encouraged
