Responsibilities

Lead the design and rehabilitation or replacement of municipal infrastructure systems, including:

Water and wastewater treatment facilities

Pump stations

Storage facilities

Water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater systems

Diagnose infrastructure system challenges and develop operational improvement plans

Oversee mechanical systems design, including coordination with electrical and structural components

Manage subcontractors providing services such as geotechnical, environmental, surveying, and other specialty support

Oversee project bidding, contractor coordination, construction oversight, project closeout, and funding reimbursement processes

Assist municipalities in identifying and applying for infrastructure funding opportunities

Serve as a technical authority and mentor to junior engineering staff

Support small and under-resourced utility providers in upgrading aging systems

Translate high-level vision into executable engineering strategies with minimal supervision
