Associate Video Producer

The Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) is a nonprofit research-based think tank in Austin, Texas, seeking an Associate Video Producer to support the planning and production of video content that promotes conservative ideas. Responsibilities

Support pre-production: calendars, shoot schedules, run-of-show docs, shot lists, talent coordination, basic research, and release forms
Assist on studio and field productions: help set up lights/audio, manage gear, capture B-roll, and support camera ops as assigned
Maintain production organization: file handoffs, labeling, media transfers, and keeping projects moving through the workflow
Help prepare content for platform delivery (YouTube, X, Instagram, LinkedIn): formatting needs, captions/subtitles coordination, thumbnails/assets coordination with design as needed
Support event and on-location coverage, including occasional evenings/weekends
Keep studio spaces and kits organized and production-ready; assist with basic inventory tracking and care of equipment

Qualification

Video production experienceAdobe Premiere ProOn-set fundamentalsOrganizational skillsTeam collaboration

Required

A deep commitment to the principles of liberty, personal responsibility, and free enterprise
1–2 years of experience in video production (internships/portfolio work welcome); portfolio required
Familiarity with on-set fundamentals (audio, lighting, camera support) and a strong willingness to learn
Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented; able to follow direction and meet deadlines
Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced environment tied to news cycles and events
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro acceptable with strong portfolio)
