Responsibilities

Optimize and maintain existing and deploy new enterprise network infrastructure to meet the needs of the organization’s long-term strategy
Collaborate with service providers to ensure reliable and cost-effective WAN, internet, and phone circuits
Maintain consistent and reliable BGP tunnels to ensure stable interconnectivity across the organization
Manage, document, and backup configurations of all network devices across the IT/ OT organization
Plan and execute network upgrades and lifecycle refreshes to ensure hardware remains at peak performance while adhering to cybersecurity standards and best practices
Identify and recommend scalable network solutions that meet the unique demands of the industrial environments including refinery, terminals, and remote sites
Maintain and manage Enterprise Wireless across all campuses to ensure connectivity for mobile devices
Coordinate with Cybersecurity team to proactively manage network hardware, firmware, security, and updating policies
Work closely with other members of the IT team, including System Administrators, Security Analysts, Developers, and Database Administrators to execute projects and support technology initiatives
Work closely with business stakeholders to identify and recommend networking solutions to support and enhance operations across various departments
Engage with manufacturer’s support teams to troubleshoot networking software/ hardware issues
Engage with Telco/ ISP providers to troubleshoot WAN, internet, and phone circuit issues
Support disaster recovery and business continuity efforts including redundant communication paths, failover testing, and incident response planning
Configure monitoring software to alert all network issues and outages

Required

A Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is required
8-10 years' experience in network administration, design, and management technology along with hands-on experience with High Availability, Cisco FTD, CUCM, Nexus, and UCS
Superior expertise in TCP/ IP, BGP, and network segmentation
Strong understanding of IT/ OT convergence while securely segregating the environments
CCNA, CCNP certifications
Employee must have valid driver's license if operating a company vehicle or his or her own vehicle for work purposes
Ability to follow complex and unique processes and adapt to change rapidly
Analytical thought is needed to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations
Ability to manage multiple issues in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
Superior organizational skills are needed to manage several issues and follow up simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in technical and non-technical terms both within and outside the organization
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software applications and technologies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive customer service orientation

Preferred

A Bachelor's degree in technology specific to Network Systems is preferred
A combination of education and significant work experience along with IT certifications may be substituted for educational qualifications
