Interconnection Engineer
Crescent Solutions is seeking an Interconnection Engineer to manage interconnection engineering activities from application through Commercial Operation Date (COD). The role involves developing expertise in assigned ISOs and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of interconnection requirements.

Responsibilities
Review draft Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and Interconnection Agreements (IAs) and provide critical engineering input
Evaluate agreement requirements and communicate impacts on project design, schedule, and technical deliverables to stakeholders
Serve as primary interface with Transmission Owners (TOs), ISOs, and PPA counterparties to align on design, performance, telemetry, back-feed, synchronization, and COD requirements
Track and manage deliverables and milestones per PPA and IA obligations
Monitor evolving ISO interconnection processes, tariffs, and requirements; communicate changes to internal teams
Ensure plant design satisfies all technical provisions of PPAs and IAs
Act as point of contact during joint testing and commissioning activities
Provide weekly status updates on interconnection submittals and critical path items
Prepare monthly reports on queue position and milestone progress
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of ISO tariffs, pro forma and non-pro forma interconnection agreements
Familiarity with NERC and FERC technical standards for transmission and generation interconnection
Proven ability to interpret and manage technical contracts in the electric power industry
Excellent organizational skills to coordinate critical deliverables with external transmission entities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective working relationships with counterparties
3–5 years of relevant experience in interconnection processes, grid integration, or related utility-scale generation projects
Preferred
Working knowledge of SCADA systems and electrical metering concepts/devices
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Power Systems; or equivalent professional experience in interconnection engineering
