Responsibilities
Own and lead the end-to-end accounting function across multiple operating entities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting
Establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support a high-volume, commission-driven business model
Oversee revenue recognition and ensure alignment with contractual terms, performance delivery, and applicable accounting standards
Lead commission and incentive accounting, including accruals, reconciliations, and expense matching
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and scalability as the business grows
Direct audit planning and execution, including internal audits, external audits, and targeted reviews of compensation, revenue, and controls. Providing schedules, documentation, and explanations
Identify, analyze, and resolve complex financial discrepancies through variance analysis, reconciliation, and root-cause investigation
Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, and Technology teams to ensure data integrity between sales systems, compensation platforms, and accounting records
Maintain financial transparency and reporting accuracy across markets, and commission structures
Develop and monitor key accounting metrics to improve visibility into margins, compensation efficiency, and operational performance
Build, lead, and scale the accounting team, including training, performance management, and process ownership
Drive continuous improvement in accounting systems, workflows, and documentation to support growth and audit readiness
Serve as the primary accounting leader supporting executive decision-making with reliable, well-controlled financial data
Oversee commission chargeback and insurance accounting, including accruals, reserves, liability management, and payout reconciliation
Assist with the development and enhancement of the journal entry procedures, allocations, and internal controls
Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting principles
Proven ownership of core accounting functions, including close, reporting, internal controls, and audit oversight
Strong experience with commission-based and variable compensation accounting, including chargebacks, reserves, and deferred payouts
Solid understanding of revenue recognition and expense matching in performance-driven business models
Experience managing audits, complex reconciliations, and variance analysis
Demonstrated ability to build scalable processes, enforce accounting discipline, and lead accounting teams
Strong systems mindset and ability to partner cross-functionally with Sales Operations and Finance
Advanced Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, scripts, formulas)
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Ability to be a self-starter and a motivated, self-driven learner
Ability to multi-task and balance priorities to meet deadlines
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Manage multiple projects/tasks concurrently to meet various deadlines without loss of efficiency or accuracy
