Responsibilities
Architect and implement data lakehouse solutions using AWS services and Apache Iceberg
Build and automate ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and process data from various sources
Develop secure, scalable APIs to enable internal teams to access and use data
Manage and optimize Apache Iceberg tables for performance and advanced capabilities
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance through validation and access controls
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective, data-driven solutions
Provide ongoing technical support and maintain documentation for data systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Hands-on experience in AWS-based data engineering roles
Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala
Advanced SQL and experience in data modeling
Expertise in AWS tools such as S3, EMR, Lambda, API Gateway, and IAM
Direct experience with Apache Iceberg and big data technologies like Spark or Hadoop
Skilled in API development and data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow
Familiar with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
Strong analytical thinking and communication skills
Preferred
AWS Data Analytics or Data Engineer (Specialty certifications)
