Responsibilities
Serve as the primary operational leader for the Community Care and Compliance Division
Provide first-line supervision to a diverse team of Animal Control Specialists, Code Inspectors, and Fire Life Safety Specialists
Manage the division's daily activities, overseeing scheduling, personnel logistics, and performance management to ensure efficient community service
Ensure that all division staff are supported, trained, and aligned with the department’s public safety mission
Assist the Fire Marshal with origin and cause fire investigations and conduct routine field inspections to enforce safety codes
Undertake training to master fire plan reviews, learning to interpret blueprints and technical specifications for new construction
Be responsible for other duties as assigned by the Fire Chief, Deputy Chief/Fire Marshal, or designee
Work irregular hours and be on an on-call rotation as necessary
