Account Manager - Survey & Geospatial Equipment - Sacramento

Responsibilities

Comfortably and curiously engage with existing customers and prospective clients to learn and understand their specific challenges, needs and industry outlook
Work with our segment managers and Professional Services team to be able to propose the ideal solution to these clients that will allow them to gain more productivity from their investment in the technology and services that CSDS has to offer
Be able to proficiently demonstrate use of equipment to prospective and existing customers. Equipment to include Robotic Total Stations, Precision RTK GNSS and 3D scanners; data collectors and software (field and office) for land surveying, geospatial and GIS professionals
Familiarity with Trimble or Spectra Precision surveying hardware and software preferred
Be capable of troubleshooting basic technical support issues and leverage the tools, resources and personnel available to be able to solve problems in a timely manner
Assist in trade shows, conferences and industry seminars
Comfortable speaking in front of customer groups and associations
Utilize Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Office Suites and various other administrative software platforms as needed. Knowledge of cloud computing and strong spreadsheet/Excel and data analysis/reporting skills a huge plus

Required

Degree from a technical institute or commercial college with an emphasis on geospatial platforms, surveying, construction positioning, civil engineering or a related field; or at least two years of technical sales experience and/or training in the geospatial industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong aptitude for business development
Excellent technical, communication and presentation skills
Detail oriented
Strong sales and business development experience

Preferred

Familiarity with Trimble or Spectra Precision surveying hardware and software
Knowledge of cloud computing
Strong spreadsheet/Excel and data analysis/reporting skills
